A strange and fuzzy vision appears to me last time, it was something like discovering a sort of frozen super-hero in the middle of a lost place. Holding a big sparkling sword and exhibiting his face leaving his gold mask, it’s like somebody who have planned to kill you just before showing his real identity. We are in Cureghem, Aviation place, part of Anderlecht where  you can see in the background a socialist slogan from a particular Art Deco building. It’s written “prevoyance Sociale”, which means: “Social Providence”. If you take attention to the statue, you’ll find something really strange: its habit. The statue is dedicated to showmen dead during the World War.

In the City, skyscrapers are big without grinding us, streets are wide, letting us discover some buildings that appears like a creature dressed in camouflage. This one in the center,  was  one of the twin towers disappeared September 11th.

First day, just arrived, looking at the sky, shearching the difference between east and west, I’m uptown looking in the Eye of the City.

Traffic Jam, stress,  hurried taxis, mist everywhere, paranos, always on the move …  That’s life in the city. Only a free spirit can pass through this urban jungle, or somebody with a good umbrella …

Lost on the top of a peep-show palace, near the North Station of Brussels, between Brabant street and Aerschot street exactly, there is an angel.
This image takes part in the Brussels Eyes project and selected during the ART TRUC TROC 2012 exhibition at “Palais des Beaux Arts” in Brussels.

There is a story about this image of the Brooklyn Bridge…
When I made it, after going home in Rainland, a friend of mine lost her baby. I dind’nt know how to tell her how I was down by such news and I remembered this running woman.

So I sended her this photographs writing  to hold on.

Didn’t you know Batman exists? This time, let’s forget we are in New York, because now, when you see that photograph, the licence plate informs us Gotham.  Strange, not? Ok folks, all we need to know is what the picture shows and there is no trick.

Hanged in such way, as we see it probably often for who takes subways,  work and slaughterhouse aren’t that so far from us.

Comparison is of course exaggerated and it avoid to appreciate the nature of that photograph, wich is, in fact, is an urban question.

A woman visage, in the middle of the crowd seems to vanish. The urban subway really transports us to nowhere.

ART TRUC TROC idea is original and quite simple:

• a particular mix of contemporary artists who have been selected by a jury (Solange Wonner, director of  Wolubilis), Carl De Moncharline (co-organisator of Art Truc Troc, Artdynamik, Adrien Grimmeau (art historian from Iselp), Anne Courtoy from (culture bureau of  Cocof)  and  Nancy Casielles (scientist at B.P.S. 22).
• masterpieces will be shown at BOZAR (one of the best place dedicated to Art in Belgium) during a weekend.
• Visitors can bid for every pieces he wants but no money is allowed for the deal. Byers have to be creative.
• With set of post-it notes, visitors can to put their offer on the wall close to the piece of art they like.

On the other hand, this event brings to artist a real opportunity to be seen; it’s a very cool way to approach contemporary art differently, avoiding the rigidity of certain galleries.
